Who is PeakStone Wealth Management?
We are an independent, Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) located in Denver, Colorado. As an RIA, we have adopted high principles and standards for which our firm operates. We adhere to a strict fiduciary standard of care by acting solely in our clients' best interest.

We provide independent advice based solely on our clients' unique financial situation, goals, and objectives. We serve as our clients’ personal CFO, and ensure their overall financial goals and objectives are met in a responsible way, through the combination of comprehensive financial planning, insurance, and investment management.
What is a fiduciary financial advisor and why is it important to me?
A fiduciary financial advisor is legally obligated to always act solely in the clients' best interest. At PeakStone Wealth Management, we are fiduciaries and we are committed to this strict fiduciary standard of care when serving clients insofar that we developed our firm's Statement of Fiduciary Commitment. Most other financial professionals or brokers are not held to this same standard.
Why should I work with you instead of other brokers or advisors?
We hope you take the opportunity to get to know us and see for yourself what makes us unique, the passion we have for what we do, and why we are committed to serving you and helping you achieve your financial goals.

We have the knowledge, experience, and expertise of big firms but we are lean, efficient, dynamic, and serve no outside corporate interest pushing us to do what is against the best interest of our clients simply to increase revenue as many other firms do. We are fiduciaries and our advisors have achieved the industry's leading CFP® certification.
Do you work with clients remotely and/or in other States?
Yes. We have implemented technology and processes that allows us to provide our comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to clients remotely and for clients residing in states other than Colorado.

Our planning software is collaborative and web-based, which enables us to engage our clients online regardless of physical location. We utilize an online calendar scheduler for clients to book appointments. In addition, we use web conferencing technologies to host online meetings and provide our presentations remotely. Finally, we may visit clients from time to time at their state of residence to engage in further face-to-face planning.
Where is my money held? What is a custodian?
Clients investments managed by PeakStone Wealth Management are always held with a qualified independent custodian. A custodian is a third-party institution that holds a client’s securities for safekeeping either in electronic or physical form, and executes trades, serving as an added check and balance by protecting against fraud or theft. Your advisor and your custodian are two separate entities, with no overlapping management or control, and all activity in your accounts is confirmed separately by each party. You can contact either party to confirm the status of your accounts at any time. See our firm's Form ADV Part 2 for more information.
Is PeakStone Wealth Management affiliated with any other companies?
PeakStone Wealth Management is an independently owned company, and is not affiliated with any other company. As a result, we are not beholden to any other company’s interests or agendas, and are free to act solely in our client’s best interests. See our firm's Form ADV Part 2 for more information.

Cost and Fees

How is PeakStone Wealth Management compensated?
We are a fee-based wealth management firm. Fees for our investment management and financial planning services are paid to us only by our clients. We do not receive referral fees and we are not compensated by any investment company or fund.

Will Osagiede is also a licensed independent insurance agent and may engage in commissionable insurance or annuities product sales, for which he may receive compensation from the insurance company. See our firm's Form ADV Part 2 for more information.
Are there other costs involved?
Yes, our advisory fees are exclusive of other costs our clients may incur in their accounts such as custodial costs, trading cost, and investment fund manager fees. See our firm's Form ADV Part 2 for more information.
How do I pay you for your services?
Our fees for investment advisory services (investment management or retirement plan advisory) are billed monthly in arrears and calculated based on the market value of the account or plan assets on the last trading day of the monthly calendar. The fees are either billed directly to our clients' accounts or may be payed by check or credit card directly from the client.

Fees for financial planning and consulting services are paid directly by the client and due after service is rendered.

Investments and Accounts

Does PeakStone Wealth Management have a minimum portfolio size?
No. However, we have found that the clients that benefit from our services are further along in their retirement savings or have portfolio assets upwards of $100,000 and household income over $100,000.
Do you take custody of, or have access to my assets?
No. All clients' assets are held with an independent custodian. You will maintain control of your portfolio account and your assets. Only you retain the ability to withdraw any assets from your account. You will simply sign a Limited Power of Attorney on your account(s) to name us as the advisor. This provides us with the limited authority to effect trades on your account and deduct management fees.
Are there financial incentives for you to recommend certain financial products?
Absolutely not! We only recommend financial products that are suitable for you and that meets your financial needs.
Are my assets pooled with other investor funds?
No, we do not pool client assets.
I have some investments I want to manage on my own. Can I still work with you?
Yes. We can set up separate account(s) that will hold the assets you would like us to manage and management fees will only apply to those assets which we manage.
Can I get money out of my account quickly in case of an emergency?
Yes, your accounts remain very liquid. If there is enough money in your money market account to handle your request, then we can usually transfer money into your bank account within 2 business days. If we need to liquidate investments to meet your cash requirements, then your money will generally be available within 2-3 days.
Do you contact me before you make trades in my accounts?
As long as we are acting within the terms of your agreed-upon asset allocation using agreed-upon funds, we do not need to contact you before making trades on your behalf. This includes re-balancing, buying new positions upon contributions and selling positions to free up cash. Most clients prefer this arrangement.
Can you arrange for regular transfer to my bank account each month?
Yes. We can set up your account for regular withdrawals on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
Is my account guaranteed?
No. All investments involve risk and may fluctuate in value depending on market conditions. There is no way to insure against market losses. Our custodian is a SIPC member firm. SIPC insurance provides coverage to protect against the possible loss of cash and securities by SIPC-member brokerage firm but does not include market losses.

Communications and Meetings

How often will you meet with me?
We believe it is beneficial to meet on a regular basis either in person or via online meetings. How often we meet will depend on your individual needs.
How often will I receive statements on my account?
You will receive monthly statements from your custodian showing your balances, investment positions and any activity in your account. Your custodian will send you any trade confirmation notices.
